According to media sources, a lot of Facebook users who are owned by Meta, including the company's CEO Mark Zuckerberg, have lost most of their followers for unspecified reasons.

After losing more than 119 million followers, Zuckerberg has fewer than 10,000 followers. Many users used the microblogging service Twitter to voice their complaints.

'Facebook caused a tsunami that wiped off nearly 900,000 of my followers, leaving only 9,000 on the shore. The humour on Facebook is kind of funny 'Taslima Nasreen, a well-known author, tweeted. Even Mark Zuckerberg now has around 9000 Facebook followers, she claimed.

An unexpected drop in followers was caused by a technological malfunction, according to media reports. 'It's a computer error. Not to be concerned. Simply click on your profile's follower count. You'll see the precise figure '  added a different user. The company  hasn't yet made a remark on the situation.

At least 1 million Facebook users were alerted last week by Meta that more than 400 malicious Android and iOS apps were aimed at them in an effort to compromise their accounts by stealing their login credentials.

The business claims that it has informed Apple and Google of its discoveries and is assisting those who may have been impacted in learning more about how to keep safe and secure their accounts.

In the meantime, Meta on Tuesday announced the Quest Pro, a virtual and mixed reality headgear designed to aid the company in penetrating the more expensive extended reality computing device market. The product was launched by the business during its yearly Meta Connect conference. According to Meta, customers in the US will be able to buy the device on October 25 for $1,500 (about Rs. 1,23,400).

The business has stated that in addition to the social and gaming-focused features that its Quest gadgets are known for, the recently unveiled Meta Quest Pro may also be used as a productivity tool. Designers and architects are among the creative professionals Meta hopes will utilise the device.
